Weber's A single-Touch Gold kettle grill is a good order for everyone looking for a classic model with a couple of hassle-free extras. The design is sleek. The outcomes are delicious.
As with all Weber grills, this kettle's lid and bowl are constructed of premium porcelain-enameled steel--which indicates not only does heat radiate evenly, but the grill will survive if it is left out in the rain. The cooking surface (22-1/two inches in diameter) is big enough to accommodate six substantial steaks, twice as countless burgers, or up to a dozen kebabs, and the grill's classic kettle shape keeps flare-ups to a minimal.
When designing this grill, Weber clearly kept convenience in thoughts. The grill's nickel-plated grate has two built-in hinged side openings that make adding more charcoal briquettes simple and easy and secure, and, when the lid's not in use, it can hang from the bowl by a handy hook. The grill is durable, too. The porcelain-coated steel bowl and lid are exceptionally powerful and created in no way to rust, fade, or peel. The grill's aluminum vents and ash catcher won't rust either, and its tripod base, nylon handles, and all-weather wheels--besides becoming exceptionally sturdy--make the grill remarkably painless to maneuver. Weber's patented A single-Touch cleaning method--a clever setup of lever-activated blades--sifts ash out of the kettle and into a cooking-pot-shaped ash catcher. You never ever have to get your hands dirty--and emptying the kettle takes only a couple of seconds.
To leading it all off, Weber throws in a 31-page owner's guide filled with cooking points and time-tested recipes for grilling everything from pork chops to bratwurst to Cornish hens.
Heavy-guage porcelain-enameled lid and bowl, factory-assembled stainless steel 1-Touch cleaning system, sweeper method, rust-resistant aluminum legs, removable high-capacity ash catcher, glass-reinforced nylon handles, hinged cooking grate. Readily available in 18 1/2" and 22 1/2" diameter models with a limited 10-year warranty.

Consumer Reviews
When it came time for us to get a new charcoal grill I searched every webpage and checked out dozens of numerous grills, some costing several hundreds of dollars, all promising some advantage.
Some units had been actually exciting, and not also expensive, but upon close inspection a large number of of these proved to be tinny and cheaply produced. The rather costly systems were incredibly nice, but did not provide rotisseries and other helpful accessories and were just too highly-priced for us anyway.
So, we ended up with a different Weber, the Gold Model. In the many years given that our last Weber, there have been a lot of improvements that kept it attractive. The ash catcher honestly does make cleanup significantly less complicated and the vent method is a lot more functional. The grill itself has the new flip-up hatches that allow you to add way more coals and move them around with no having to lift up the grill. I did that all the time with the old grill.
The optional tiny bent-wire style of charcoal retainers do support to keep the coals out to the side when you want to use a drip pan in the center.
Other people have recommended the chimney style charcoal begin for ecological causes. It is also just plain faster to use as properly, and it is made of heavy gauge metal that is both appealing and long-lasting.
I appreciate the optional rotisserie (see those evaluations) and it comes with an extension ring that is also useful for other cooking choices.
We got the green colored kettle and it looks particularly nice on the patio. The general style and those odd white-wall tires give it a sort of vintage look.
This is a properly-produced and quite functional grill with all sorts of fascinating offered accessories that definitely function properly. There is a reason for the reputation of the Weber. I looked, I bought. Tough to beat.
We bought this grill as our first grill based on critiques. The Weber grill is a solidly built grill. You don't really feel they skimped on supplies when they built this. Assembly was only troublesome when installing the base ring for the ash catcher but as soon as I got past that, it was hassle-free. The metal grate for the charcoal is sensible for permitting air to come up beneath the charcoals, helping maintain them hot, which the cooking grate is smartly created, with two sides in a position to be flipped up so that you can add more charcoal if you need to. The two handles on the cooking grate make it easy to move the grate. The wheels make it hassle-free to roll the grill around, despite the fact that I would have preferred rubber wheels as opposed to plastic wheels.
The only complaint I have about this grill is that the handle for the lid can get certainly hot when it is been sitting on the grill for a while. You can remedy this by wearing a grilling mitt when removing the lid. I am not confident if a wood deal with would make a difference. Just a minor complaint.
The massive cooking grate is terrific. I can throw all sorts of stuff on the grill at once and it does not matter where it lies, if you spread your coals evenly, every little thing cooks good whether on the outskirts of the sides of the grate or on the center of the grate. I attribute this to the Weber style and the grill's capacity to distribute heat evenly and nicely.
The ash catcher is one particular of the nicest attributes on this grill. If you are trying to decide amongst the silver and the gold Weber grill, make no mistake that this is the improved solution hands down. The ash plate on the silver model will most probably get filled up with ash fast, not to mention it is a doable fire hazard if hot charcoal bits fall off the side of the ash plate. The ash catcher on the gold model is like a pan and can hold a lot of ash and hot charcoal bits with no difficulty. Devote a little bit additional and get the far better feature and you will not regret it.
