I've constantly utilized charcoal, just not too long ago purchased my dream gas grill. Honestly, I missed the smokey flavor, so I purchased this unit - quite a bit less than the one particular that Weber offers. Put to use it for the initial time last night. I now Adore my gas grill, I get that awesome smokey flavor with this unit. It did catch fire, but that was my fault for not soaking my chips long adequate - but I poured a small water in the top and all was good. Very recommend this for the value and the overall performance. I will try and post back after I've had it for a year, to update it longevity. The only factor I would modify would be to by the shorter version, on my Weber I have to lift each grates to open the smoker box. I need to have purchased two shorter versions and then I would only have to lift 1 grate to refill.

I've been hunting to purchase a smoker box for years but they had been continually a little too pricey. This one was at such a reasonable cost that I was concerned that it would be flimsy. But it's not. It really is sturdy and fits my grill perfectly.
